The 2009 Cadillac STS comes with minor changes following its previous version released in 2008. It is available in V6, V8 and in the high performance STS-V trim versions.

Engine
The standard engine to the Cadillac STS is a 4.6 liter V8 model that produces power up to 239 kilo watts at an angular speed of 6400 rpm and torque of 425 Nm at an angular speed of 4400 rpm. The STS engine has the bore size of 93 mm, stroke of 84 mm and compression ratio of 10.5 with four valves per cylinder, variable valve camshaft and double overhead cam.
The STS engine is mated to a standard 6-speed automatic transmission. The V6 models are powered by a 3.6 liter engine that produces power up to 302 hp. There are two various V8 engines- the standard 4.6 liter V8 and the 4.4 liter model that produces 469 hp.

Apart from the powerful V6, and V8 STS engines, it is also featured with the fine interiors and stylish exteriors. As safety is the main concern to any sports car, the STS model is also featured with the safety features like curtain side air bags, antilock braking system, front side air bags, antiskid system and the traction control.
