The Cadillac STS sports sedan was designed and manufactured by the automobile manufacturing company, General Motors. The production of this model was commenced from the year 2005. The assembly plant of this vehicle was established at Lansing, Michigan in USA as well as at Shanghai, China.

The Cadillacs STS model was offered in two class- executive car and mid sized luxury sedan. This 4-door sedan is considered as the successor of the Cadillac Seville. Cadillac STS sedan was built on FR layout and on GM sigma platform.

Engine

This vehicle comes with three types of engines- 3.6 L LY7 V6 engine, 4.4 L V8 as well as 4.6 L Northstar LH2 v8 engine. This vehicle was equipped with either 5-speed automatic or 6-speed automatic transmission system. The wheelbase of the car was about 11.4 inches. The length of the vehicle was about 196.3 inches during 2005-2007, whereas the current models are offered with a design length of 196.7 inches. The width and height of Cadillac STS model is about 72.6 inches and 57.6 inches respectively. This model comes with a fuel capacity of 17 US gallons.

In comparison to its previous year models, the Cadillac STS 2008 model was designed with an advanced exterior as well as interior design features. This vehicle generates power up to 302 hp along with a torque of 369 Nm. In terms of safety features, this vehicle is equipped with lane departure warning system as well as blind spot monitoring system.
